Cleveland Air Show over Labor Day Weekend
In 2009, we raised almost $2,200 at the Cleveland Air Show over Labor Day Weekend
selling Chicken Strips, Fries, Pop, Water, and Beer. In 2010, the Air Show will run from
Sat. September 4 through Mon. September 6.
Essentially, we staff a concessions booth where we receive 10% of the gross sales for
the weekend.
In exchange for volunteering, everyone gets a Vendor's pass into the Air Show along with
one parking pass. This is an important fund raiser for the team and helps keep our
monthly dues low. Without this event, we would need to increase our monthly dues by
$5.00 to $10.00 per month.
You are free to bring along your younger children. There are some positions in the booth
(such as manning the pop station) that some of our older swimmers can work at.
While at the concessions stand, you can eat all of the Chicken, Fries, and Pop or Water
as you'd like. Thus lunch is provided.
We will begin organizing for the Air Show in August of 2010.
