Euclid Marlins Swim Team
Dues and Fees >
For the 2010-2011 Short Course Season, the registration fee is $70. The fee pays for
USA Membership (which includes insurance) for the whole year (Short Course, Spring
and Summer Sessions) for the swimmer and also helps offset the costs of running the
team (team registration, coach's registration, and other administrative costs).
For first time swimmers who will start swimming with us during the Spring or Summer
Sessions, the registration fee will be $40.
It is expected that all families will help the team in some volunteer capacity. Volunteering
could be serving the board, volunteering to help with either the air show or the invitational,
or assisting with the swim-a-thon, Christmas party, or the year-end banquet.
All swimmers are required to pay the registration fee for the short course season. This
includes swimmers who register late.
High School swimmer may pay the $40 registration fee if they will only swim with us
during September and October. In this case, they won't be able to come back and swim
with us after the completion of the High School season in February. They will also need
to pay another $40 registration fee if they decide to swim with use during the Spring or
Summer Sessions.

Monthly Dues are required for each swimmer who swims with the Euclid Marlins. The
dues for September are payable when the swimmer registers with the team. For October
through February, dues should be paid by the end of the 1st full week of each month. If
the dues are not paid by the end of the 2nd week of the month, you will receive a reminder
notice by both email and in your parent's folder.
Families with multiple children swimming will receive a break on each child who swims.
Also, since we derive some benefits from the Euclid Schools, Euclid residents are also
provided with a lower fee. The monthly dues for the Euclid Marlins are as follows:
The monthly dues can be offset by participating in the Swim-A-Thon. %50 of the money
that a swimmer collects will be applied towards their monthly dues. The money will be
applied to first reduce their February Dues, then January, December, November, October,
and finally September dues.
The treasurer will provide a statement to the swimmer's family detailing how the
Swim-A-Thon funds have been applied to reduce their monthly dues.
If you have more than 4 kids swimming at the same time, no monthly dues are required
for the 4th swimmer and beyond. Even though the swim season extends into March, no
dues are required for March.
If a swimmer is sick or unable to swim for more than two weeks (except for the Christmas
Holiday Period in December), the treasurer may pro-rate the swimmer's dues for that
month. Please contact the treasurer for details when this occurs.
There is no mandatory Family Fundraising Fee. This was eliminated for the 2009-2010
Short Course Season. Instead it is expected that all families volunteer in some capacity
with the time.
For families who only have High School Swimmers, volunteering is appreciated, but not
mandatory.
If you wish to try out the team for two weeks before deciding to join, the treasurer will hold
your registration and first month's dues check until the end of the trial and then contact
you before depositing the your check. If you decide to not continue, your check will either
be destroyed or returned to you.
While registration and the two week trial normally occur the first two weeks of September,
the Euclid Marlins Swim Team allows registration at any time through the beginning of
December.
To register late, please contact one of the coaches or a member of the board. You'll need
to fill out the paperwork (either available online or in the Parent's mailbox on the pool
deck) and bring your kids to practice. You can give the paperwork to either a coach or
drop it in the Treasurer's folder along with your registration check.
Depending on when you start during the season, the Treasurer has the option of
prorating your first month's dues. See the Treasurer for details.
High School Swimmers may join the team in September and October by paying the
registration fee and the dues for the months during which they swim. We also provide a
after school practice for these months for the HS Swimmers.
If they choose, the High School swimmers may return in February after the completion of
the High School season to swim at LESI Championships (assuming that they paid the
full registration fee). No dues will be required for February for the High School Swimmers.
Generally, if a swimmer cancels after the two week trial period, the registration fee and
dues for the month the swimmer cancels will not be returned.
