Euclid Marlins Swim Team
Dues and Fees >
For the 2011-2012 Short Course Season, the registration fee is as follows:

Swimmers who join the team during the Spring or Summer Sessions and do not have a
current USA Membership will be required to pay for a seasonal registration.

It is expected that all families will help the team in some volunteer capacity.  Volunteering
could be serving the board, volunteering to help with one of our fundraisers, or helping out
with one of our parties.

High School swimmers may opt for a seasonal registration fee in the fall if they are only
swimming with us during September and October.  In this case, they won't be able to
come back and swim with us after the completion of the High School season in February.
They will also need to pay another seasonal registration fee if they decide to swim with us
during the Spring or Summer Sessions.

Monthly fees are required for each swimmer who swims with the Euclid Marlins.  For
September through February, fees should be paid by the 10th of each month.  If
the fees are not paid by then, you will receive a reminder notice by both email and in your
parent's folder.  In order to be entered into any swim meets, the swimmer must be current
with respect to the Monthly Fees.

Families with multiple children swimming will receive a break for each additionalchild
who swims.  Also, since we derive some benefits from the Euclid Schools, Euclid
residents are also provided with a lower fee.  The monthly fees for the Euclid Marlins are
as follows:

Euclid Resident
Non-Euclid Resident
Tier 1 (Beginner)
$55.00
$60.00
Tier 2 (Intermediate)
$60.00
$65.00
Tier 3
(Advanced/Elite)
$70.00
$75.00
Swimmers who are new to the team will pay the Tier 1 fee for the first month while the
coaches evaluate their skill set.  After that, the swimmer will be placed in a Tier.  As a
general rule, Tier 1 swimmers will practice for 1 hour, Tier 2 will practice for 1.5 hours,
and Tier 3 will practice for 2 hours each day.  Tier 3 swimmers will also have the
opportunity to practice on Saturdays.

If you have more than 1 swimmer on the team, the monthly fees will be reduced by $5.00
for each additional swimmer.

If you have more than 4 kids swimming at the same time, no monthly fees are required for
the 4th swimmer and beyond.

Monthly fees will be required for the month of March from swimmers who continue
practicing after "Gold Championships" which marks the end of the regular LESI short
course season.

If a swimmer is sick or unable to swim for more than two weeks (except for the Christmas
Holiday Period in December), the treasurer may pro-rate the swimmer's dues for that
month.  Please contact the treasurer for details when this occurs.
There is no mandatory Family Fundraising Fee.  This was eliminated for the 2009-2010
Short Course Season.  Instead it is expected that all families volunteer in some capacity
with the time.  Our fundraisers help to keep our monthly fees at a reasonable level.
Without these fundraisers, our monthly fees would need to be increased by $30 or $40
per month to cover the shortfall.

For families who only have High School Swimmers, volunteering is appreciated, but not
mandatory.
If you wish to try out the team for two weeks before deciding to join, the treasurer will hold
your registration check until the end of the trial and then contact you before depositing the
your check.  If you decide to not continue, your check will either be destroyed or returned to
you.
While registration and the two week trial normally occur the first two weeks of September,
the Euclid Marlins Swim Team allows registration at any time through the beginning of
December.

To register late, please contact one of the coaches or a member of the board.  You'll need
to fill out the paperwork (either available online or in the Parent's mailbox on the pool
deck) and bring your kids to practice.  You can give the paperwork to either a coach or
drop it in the Treasurer's folder along with your registration check.

Depending on when you start during the season, the Treasurer has the option of
prorating your first month's dues.  See the Treasurer for details.
High School Swimmers may join the team in September and October by paying the
registration fee and the fees for the months during which they swim.  We also provide a
after school practice for these months for the HS Swimmers.

If they choose, the High School swimmers may return in February after the completion of
the High School season to swim at LESI Championships (assuming that they paid the
full registration fee).  No monthly fees will be required for February for the High School
Swimmers.
Generally, if a swimmer cancels after the two week trial period, the registration fee and
dues for the month the swimmer cancels will not be returned.
