Euclid Marlins Swim Team
Dues and Fees >
For the 2008-2009 Short Course Season, we are increasing the registration fee to $70
since our LESI fees have been increasing over the last 3 or 4 years. The fee pays for
insurance for the swimmer and also helps offset the costs of running the team (team
registration, coach's registration, and other administrative costs).
All swimmers are required to pay the registration fee. This includes swimmers who
register late or swimmers who are registering for the high school season.

Monthly Dues are required for each swimmer who swims with the Euclid Marlins. The
dues for September are payable when the swimmer registers with the team. For October
through February, dues should be paid by the end of the 1st full week of each month. If
the dues are not paid by the end of the 2nd week of the month, you will receive a reminder
notice by both email and in your parent's folder.
Families with multiple children swimming will receive a break on each child who swims.
Also, since we derive some benefits from the Euclid Schools, Euclid residents are also
provided with a lower fee. The dues for the Euclid Marlins are as follows:
If you have more than 4 kids swimming at the same time, no monthly dues are required
for the 4th swimmer and beyond. Even though the swim season ends the first week of
March, no dues are required for March.
Each family is responsible for a $100.00 fund raising fee. This fee helps pay a portion of
the coach's salaries, the year-end banquet, and providing money to buy equipment such
as fins or kick boards for the team.
The team will organize two fund raisers to offset this fee. One fund raiser will be a
Swim-A-Thon held in late October and the other will most likely be something like a
cookie dough sale which will be completed before Thanksgiving or Christmas.
A family can choose to just pay the fee. The balance of the fee will be due by the end of
January.
The treasurer will hold your registration check until the end of the trial and then contact
you before depositing the your check. If you decide to not continue, your check will either
be destroyed or returned to you.
While registration and the two week trial normally occur the first two weeks of September,
the Euclid Marlins Swim Team allows registration at any time through the end of
December.
To register late, please contact one of the coaches or a member of the board. You'll need
to fill out the paperwork (either available online or in the Parent's mailbox on the pool
deck) and bring your kids to practice. You can give the paperwork to either a coach or
drop it in the Treasurer's folder along with your registration check.
Depending on when you start during the season, the Treasurer has the option of
prorating your first month's dues and fund raising fee. See the Treasurer for details.
High School Swimmers may join the team in September and October by paying the
registration fee and the dues for the months during which they swim.
If they choose, the High School swimmers may return in February after the completion of
the High School season to swim at LESI Championships. No dues will be required for
February for the High School Swimmers.
Additionally, if the High School swimmer is the only member of the family swimming, the
family fund raising fee is also waived.
Generally, if a swimmer cancels after the two week trial period, the registration fee and
dues for the month the swimmer cancels will not be returned. If there are no more
swimmers from the family participating on the team, any remaining balance on the family
fund raising fee will be waived.
