Euclid Marlins Swim-a-thon 2010
Friday, October 1
5:30pm - 7:30pm
|
- In 2010, the Swim-A-Thon raised $350.00 for our team. Most families were able to
eliminate the February dues for at least one swimmer. Several swimmer
eliminated a good portion of their January dues too..
- The pledges are due by two weeks after the event is held.
- he team will provide snacks for the swimmers after they are finished swimming.
- The coaches will be counting laps while the parents socialize and possibly have a
short parent's meeting.
- Money raised through the swim-a-thon will be used to reduce a swimmer's
monthly dues. %50 of the funds collected will be applied towards their dues, with
thier February dues being reduced first. For example, if the swimmer raised
$90.00 and was a Euclid Resident, then they would owe no dues for February. If
they were a Non-Euclid Resident, then they would owe only $10.00 for February.
- Certificate for every Swimmer from USA Swimming.
- Swimming more than 100 laps: pin from USA Swimming.
- Swimming 200 laps: pin from USA Swimming.
- We will need to have parents volunteer to help with the swim-a-thon. Help will be
needed with set-up, check-in, door prizes, food service, clean-up, and “gopher”
activities. A sign-up sheet will be available two weeks before the event.
- All swim-a-thon money will need to be turned in by October 15. Checks are
payable to Euclid Marlins. Any money collected before the Swim-a-thon can be
turned in to the Treasurer on the day of the Swim-A-Thon.
- We may also have music, etc. or a theme for the Swim-A-Thon. Stay tuned for
further details.
